Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • ½ tablespoon garlic powder
  • ½ tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix paprika, salt, ground pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, thyme, oregano, and cayenne pepper.
  • Stir ingredients until they are evenly distributed. Be sure to mix well because sugar has a different texture and might not blend well if using any. Use as needed when making burgers. If using store-bought patties, sprinkle the seasoning on top of the patties.
  • Transfer leftover burger seasoning to a spice jar or any airtight container and place it in a cool, dry place.
  • Feel free to adjust the quantities of the spices according to your taste

Notes

  • Don't forget to label your spice container with the name and date you made it. Very helpful if you want to know when to use or discard.
